In winter there are many winter sports opportunities. Ski areas such as Hohenbogen, Großer Arber, St. Englmar and Eck are very popular, easy to reach and offer pure winter fun. The surrounding area also offers many interesting excursion destinations: Seepark Arrach, fairytale and ghost castle Lambach, museum village Tittling, bird of prey park Grafenwiesen, summer toboggan run St. Englmar, high rope park Lam, bathing world Aqacur Bad Kötzting and the cities Regensburg, Bodenmais, Zwiesel and Passau.
A highlight of the municipality of Arrach is the guest card with the VLC logo. This allows you to travel free of charge by bus and train on the local public transport network in the district and gives you discounts on cultural and sporting activities.
