Wellness / Sauna
Our sauna area was finally completed at the end of 2021. The 75 square metre area invites you to warm up and relax with two spacious showers, a small lounge area and six comfortable loungers. In addition to the classic Finnish sauna, there is also a fantastic infrared cabin for two people. Hot water and tea are available free of charge, as are sauna towels. Please bring bathrobes and slippers.
Book and games bar
In bad weather, after solitary hikes, when it's freezing cold outside or simply because you don't want to sit in your own four walls and would rather get to know other guests, our book and games bar offers a few options. A Wii with games and accessories, a 65-inch flatscreen TV, some board games and around 300 books invite you to browse, play and meet up. The room is also ideal for get-togethers with friends during shared stays - also for eating together (cooking and preparation is done in your own holiday flat).
Fitness centre
The fitness area is located on the same level as the games and book bar and the sun terrace. Large windows ensure that the room is flooded with light, there is a great view of the mountains and direct access to the balcony and sun terrace. Two cross trainers, a spinning bike and a recumbent bike are available for training.
Drying and ski room
We have set up a separate room for cleaning and drying clothes and shoes. Nobody has to take their wet dirty clothes - whether motorbike suit, ski suit, outdoor jacket, hiking/skiing or motorbike boots or whatever - into the flat and hang them up in the shower, bedroom or living room. The room is right next to the main entrance - it has windows, is bright and friendly and is very well ventilated.
Outdoor area
The garden and the large south-west-facing terrace with a beautiful view over the valley of the White Rain invites you to relax together, and not just in the evening. The garden plot covers a good 3,000 square metres and can be used in its entirety.
The public viewing terrace with its magnificent view of the mountains is directly adjacent to the book and games bar and measures a further 60 square metres. You can relax at any time in our lounge furniture, barbecue and chill out in the garden and in the outdoor area in front of the house.
We have set up a separate area for smokers at the front of the house so that nobody is bothered - this is the only public area where smoking is permitted.
Lamer Winkel in the Bavarian Forest
Your holiday region between Osser, Arber and Kaitersberg in the Bavarian Forest
Sheer endless forests, crystal-clear streams and air that makes it worth taking a deep breath.
Nestled in a horseshoe-shaped mountain range - framed by most of the one-thousand metre peaks of the Bavarian Forest - is Lamer Winkel with its three villages of Arrach, Lam and Lohberg.
This landscape with its unspoilt nature is best explored on foot or by (e-)bike.
If you are looking for history and culture, you can hike along the Künischer Grenzweg trail across the former Iron Curtain to Bohemia and discover winding smugglers' trails.
Scenic gems such as the Großer Arbersee, Kleiner Arbersee, Teufelssee and Schwarzer See lakes, the original farmsteads of the forest farmers, the proximity to the Bavarian Forest and Bohemian Forest National Parks, as well as a wide range of gastronomy make this natural holiday region incomparable.
