The valley station of the Kreischbergbahn takes you directly to the Kreischberg ski area with a total of 42 kilometers of slopes. Other ski areas in the immediate vicinity are Hirnkopf-Flattnitz (Glödnitz) in Central Carinthia (approx. 20 minutes) with 8 kilometers of slopes and 5 lifts, Turracher Höhe, one of the most diverse ski areas in the Southern Alps with 43 kilometers of slopes and 15 cable cars and ski lifts (approx. 30 minutes) , the Prebersee high-altitude trail in approx. 30 minutes and the cross-country skiing area in Schönfeld - Innerkrems (approx. 40 minutes).
The regional capital Murau can be reached in 5 minutes by car and offers many shopping opportunities and there is also a swimming pool. You can cycle on the very popular Murtal cycle path. From the chalet you can also easily reach many excursion destinations with the Murtalbahn, as the Kaindorf Süd station is only 200 meters from the house (in winter it also serves as a ski bus). There is also a golf course and a large riding stable nearby (1 km). Bread delivery service can be arranged on site. In short: everything for a wonderful holiday.
