The house is an old town house beautifully renovated and retaining many of its original features. It has a large shaded courtyard with high stone walls and two balconies on the top floor.
It is in the centre of the old Medieval town opposite the museum and fabric, clothes and homeware design store of Souleiado. The town lies alongside the River Rhone and has a magnificent castle which was built in 1442 by King Rene, the last of the Provencal rulers. It also has its own theatre along with many restaurants to choose from.
Tarascon can now boast its own Michelin starred restaurant Méo at 1 place du Colonel Berrurier, Tarascon. A 7 minute walk from the house.
Tarascon has a station with trains going to Arles, Avignon, Nimes and Marseilles connecting the town with the whole of France and Europe.
Tarascon has one of the best weekly markets around, with traditional artisanal food producers and much local produce.
Tarascon is at the very heart of Provence, some call it the crossroads of Provence and If coming by car, you don't have to drive very far to see many Roman ruins, vineyards, medieval towns and villages nearby.
