Le name suggests that it might have been an inn, in the ancient times when a path under the house was the coast main route. One can imagine travellers and horse riders having a one or two nights rest in their big journey to Granada or Africa. It might even have seen Hannibal pass during his campaign from Africa to Rome, with his 40000 men and 38 elephants army !
La Venta was restored by an amateur and passionate lover of this region. The solemn impressive original style has been fully respected, while the equipment complies to today's requirements: WiFi, dishwasher, wood stove and more. With a personal touch: the original rocks are visible in some rooms, contributing to a unique and inimitable atmosphere. Note: the house, terraces and garden are fully private.
Note that Cortijo la Venta was refurbished in accordance to the original structure of the building, where below rooms communicated from the terrace. This can be very much appreciated by multiple couples or families with teenagers for example.
