Tucked back at the northern end of the Great Sand Dunes National park and moments away from the baca wilderness refuge this is a wonderful location to meet wildlife with wildly artistic creature comforts just 16 minutes to downtown crestone where you can get a cold one and tasty meals at one of its restaurants!Ask about our extra add on services such as a private chef services from a PGA, country club, 4 seasons chef, private in house sound bath at the music note sound stage and local tours.
I'm told the pictures don't do the house justice it's more spectacular in person! The spiral sequence of this house nearly gives you a 360° view of the mountains ,valley allowing natural light in all day long and the most envious front row seats to the best sunrises and sun sets! Over the last few years several artist have contributed to murals and building creating a very unique immersive art experience that's starting to tell the story of the valley and this town! This joint is set up to relax with no worries! The host will be glad to tell you about the history that was uncovered on the property is a bit of a Indiana Jones story with laughs oohs and aaahs.
A moments walk outside the front door you will find a bit of a secret garden down by the creek, this is my favorite hike in all of Crestone. There are multiple cold plunge pools and reserve one of our complimentary sunset bonfires managed by the property host. Looking for more of a thrill check out one of the alpine lakes, waterfall or sand dune hikes! If running up a mountain or swimming in alpine snow melt isn't your style check out one of the many unique hot springs in the area and book a private sound bath concert on the architectural music note sound stage in the house!
About the house and art
This architectural marvel came to life back in the mid 80s it was a dream come to reality by James George the spiritual diplomat of Canada. The design of the home is fibonacci its a mathematical sequence essentially its like a seashell spiral...but the locals call it sacred geometry. Legend has it James George invited the Beatles feng shui artist to place the house and stupa which is on a earth meridian line. When I purchased the house I felt...we need to have fun here! Then the art started rolling in! I got in contact with Focus Smith who's done native American murals all around crestone and the world! Focus' art brought balance and community to the property. You see... this is native American spirit journey grounds I feel it brought acknolegement to the original people. After the murals went up I found 5 Native American tools on property a Buffalo nickel button and a fractured turquoise jewelry stone... then my community! Since then I've been adding accents of art telling the story of the San luis valley! I use found objects, recycled materials, fire mitigation wood that would typically get burned in a fire I'll give it a new life!
