Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location is the best thing about Hotel Lux. Bed was comfortable. Wifi and shower pressure good. People who work here are nice but no conviction or urgency. No one to help with luggage up the spiral staircase. Breakfast was good. Room 41 about the size of a cruise ship cabin, decent for old town Munich.

Negative: I knew there was no elevator and no fridge when I booked, so I won’t comment on those inconveniences and being on the 4th floor. One day of our 4 night stay, I went to the reception and spoke to a male (Friday Sept 26) and said we are leaving for the day and would like housekeeping. He said no problem, they work until 5. I also told him the light bulb was out in the bathroom. He said no problem. We got back 7 hours later, no housekeeping, no light fixed. Called reception from my phone (no phone in the room) and asked for fresh towels and garbage removal, a female bartender came up and said she has no idea about this, and took our garbage and brought us fresh towels and a extra pillow. Still no bathroom light fixed. Next morning, I told a female at the reception what happened the day before, and she said definitely she will get light fixed and make sure housekeeping came in. We got back from our day and yes, housekeeping came in, but bathroom light over the sink was never fixed! Seriously. There are zero ammenities here. Stay here for location only, as it is like an expensive Hostel with a small, dark bathroom with little service. Shower was a coffin.
