In the midst of the idyll of the Bavarian Forest, our newly furnished Meisl holiday house awaits you. The 800m ² natural plot is wonderfully beautiful in a south facing position. The living area of the house (110m ²) is divided on two levels. On the ground floor, a small hallway leads to the spacious living and dining room (40m² with a fireplace). The bright kitchenette is right next to it.
This is equipped with a kettle, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, coffee maker, cooking utensils, dishes, freezer, refrigerator, electric stove / ceramic hob with oven / baking trolley and an electric table grill. There is also a toilet on the ground floor.
The attic has a double room with balcony and a twin room. The newly renovated bathroom has a walk-in shower, the large corner bath invites you to relax (washing machine, hair dryer available). Our house was furnished with great attention to detail.
The hut sauna with panoramic window is right next door.
Leisure:
You can expect many leisure activities in terms of sports and trips to the Bavarian Forest National Park. Day trips to the Three Rivers City of Passau or the nearby Czech Republic are ideal. The Finsterau open-air museum is a major attraction in every season. There the rural building, living and working in the buildings is shown down to the smallest detail. The museum comes to life with musicians' meetings, traditional demonstrations, cooking classes or church consecration.
In spring and autumn, hikers and cyclists get their money's worth. Mauth-Finsterau offers you over 100km of signposted cycle paths. The mountains of the Bavarian Forest such as Lusen, Rachel, Dreisessel and Arber are ideal for hiking tours.
Stroll for hours in the summer through the vast forests to the borders in the Bohemian Forest (Czech Republic). Explore the wild and romantic and unique jungle in the Bavarian Forest National Park.
Finsterau is one of the snowiest places in the Bavarian Forest. In winter, the village turns into a snow paradise at an altitude of up to 1100m. There are about 100km of well-prepared cross-country trails available (cross-border to the Czech Republic). The Mitterfirmiansreut ski center offers alpine skiing pleasure in approx. 12 km distance
