La Serena Golf is a beautifully maintained 18-hole golf course located in Los Alcazares region of Murcia. The course lends itself to the more experienced golfer who must have accuracy in order to navigate the cluster of bunkers.
La Serena golf has a large club house that can be used by all. The offer a wide selection of food and drinks as well as a typical menu del dia, which can be enjoyed in the air-conditioned dining room or the beautiful terrace overlooking the course.
For those wishing to get out and about during their stay, the apartment is located in Los Alcazares, just a short 5-minute drive away. Here you will find the beautiful Mar Menor lagoon, offering a place to enjoy both relaxation and watersports such as paddle boarding, kite surfing and jet skiing.
Los Alcazares is a bustling town in both summer and winter, with many bars and restaurants open all year round. For those who wish to enjoy the typical Spanish cuisine, and laid-back approach, there is the Old Town offering a variety of local tapas, one of our favorites is La Tropical restaurant a great example of Spanish tapas combined with a modern twist.
For the lively travelers, we recommend the heart of Los Alcazares, also known as the 525 strip a 10-minute walk along the promenade from the old town. Here you will find a large selection of international cuisine, bars and in the summer many local stalls and vendors. Although a lot of the bars and restaurants remain open all year here in the 525 strip, they do come alive a lot more in the summer months, offering a more expansive range of open air bars and trendy areas to sit back and enjoy a cocktail or two.
Due to the location of La Serena Golf, you also have great access routes to other destinations such as Cartagena a 20-minute drive away. Cartagena is a beautiful city packed with historic buildings and winding streets; we would highly recommend a visit.
La Zenia Boulevard is a 30-minute drive away and very popular for guests that like to shop. A large open-air complex with all the Spanish high street fashion brands you would expect to see such as Zara, Mango, Stadivarius. Upstairs you can relax and enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants, or for those beach lovers the local beaches are a 10-minute walk away. Here you will find a selection of modern and typical Spanish restaurants.
