Positive: The apartment is absolutely lovely. Its top floor in a really nice block in a quiet area (apart from building works that werent too intrusive while we were there). The view is amazing, the terrace is lovely and it has good secure parking. The kitchen is very well equipped and the owners obviously take a lot of care over the apartment. The pool area is absolutely lovely too.

Negative: There are a couple of issues the main one of which is the aircon. To have a decent temperature in the living area the bedrooms are freezing. To have a reasonable temperature in the bedrooms the living area is too warm. The aircon needs properly balancing as there is only one thermostat to control it. The host company is pretty terrible. Their app which you are forced to use to provide passport details and pay the deposit doesnt work. I tried it on smartphone and laptop and it doesnt work. They said use a different browser. So I tried smartphone and laptop using both Chrome and Microsoft Edge - neither work. They did it for me in the end after I sent pictures of our passports and a link for payment but all was really frustrating and I was to be honest a bit hacked off before we even arrived. Then they wanted communication during our stay through Whatsapp - I asked them to sort the aircon and the TV which had no channels. They asked quite a lot of stupid question after stupid question. They then agreed to send someone the next day. The chap they sent seemed very good but the aircon was no different afterwards and he turned up with a cable to fit to the TV without even turning it on first to see the problem for himself, so ..... they knew exactly what was wrong with the TV before they arrived ie it was missing a cable so they basically were wasting my time asking loads of stupid questions the day before. The location is a fair walk to the old town - downhill - so back is uphill. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues or used to walking uphill. You can get a taxi but 17 euros one way for just over a mile seems a bit expensive. We were there at beginning of October when the pool opening times changed to 12 - 6pm.
