Summary:
Beautiful rural house located in a remote little village in La Graciosa, just north of Lanzarote.
The Space:
The house is located in Casas de Pedro Barba, which has its own beach and a pier. It was established by a community of fishermen in the late 19th century.
Guest Access:
All guests will have full access to the house, except the garage where we keep the batteries from the solar panels that power the house.
The Neighborhood:
The closest supermarket is 6km away in the town of Caleta del Sebo, taxis can be arranged both by sea and land. Here you will also find nice seafood restaurants by the port, supermarkets, bakeries and other shops.
Getting Around:
The nearest international airport is Arrecife on the Island of Lanzarote. There are always taxis waiting at the airport which will take you to the port from which the Ferry departs (Orzola), at a cost of circa €50. There is also a bus that departs from the central bus station in Arrecife 4 times a day. We are happy to arrange the taxi once you arrive at the port in La Graciosa, which will take you to the house in about 15 minutes (the standard fare is €15 payable to the driver). Ferries depart at regular intervals during daylight hours and take approximately 25 minutes to cross. The cost of the Ferry is €10 euros per person per trip.
Given that rental cars are forbidden on the island due to its portected status of Nature Reserve, we can provide the contact of a friendly driver which you can call if you want to go anywhere on the island. We strongly recommend visiting Playa de las Conchas and Montaña Amarilla - these are some of the most beautiful beaches in the Canary Islands.
