There, the Bregenz Festival, a stroll through the old town or a ride on the cable car to the Pfänder are alluring. Sporty people can also hike up the local mountain of Bregenz, located at 1,064 m (about 1 hour). Other excursion destinations include the Skywalk in the Allgäu region with its tree-top walk (34 minutes by car / 23 km) or the open-air alpine pool in Scheidegg (30 minutes by car / 23 km).
