Summary: We only stayed at Pension Bergbach for 1 night, and I loved it so much I asked about extending our stay. The hostess was so friendly and sweet. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to choose from. Everything was fresh and displayed beautifully. They have a little fridge for drinks after hours and coffee and tea 24-7. The room had an absolutely stunning view of the mountains and it was so nice to relax on the porch. The room was clean and comfortable. We were excited to stay in one of the classic style Alpine buildings. The roof was sloped and the stairs were beautiful and old, but with fresh light paint. The only thing we were worried about was the hot weather since there is no air conditioning, but we left the windows and door open to air out the room while we relaxed on the porch and the room was comfortable all night. The hotel was very quiet. We didn’t hear anyone in the room, but we saw other guests at breakfast. In the morning we spent about an hour hiking up to the falls and back. It was beautiful (there is a 4 euro token required per person up in the state park). There are 2 restaurants that we saw within walking distance. There are banks and shops within 5-10 minute drive.
